The Baha'is of Shasta County are planning to observe World Religion
Day on January 17 as A Time for Bright Prospects for the Unity of
Mankind. The program will be one is a monthly series called
Contemplations, held at the Redding City Library in a public meeting
room. The presenters will share references from world religions on
the topic of the unity of mankind, accounts of recent events on this
theme (Parliament of World Religions, Climate Conference at Windsor
Castle, Christmas Day Mitzvah involving Jews and Muslims in Detroit,
Charter for Compassion, and reports of inter-faith movements found in
various magazines).
