song (lyrics) - We Are One

by Randall & Linda Dighton

Chorus:
We are one, every faith and race and nation,
We are one, we're all part of God's creation
We are one, it's a cause for celebration,
We are one, We are one!
We are one, we're all waves of one sea and
We are one, we're all leaves of one tree and
We are one, we are all humanity and
We are one, We are one!

Now we all are created by one great and loving God,
Whose power and Whose wisdom we all laud,
And no matter what you call Him by or how you say His Name,
The Exalted One we worship is the same. (Chorus)

All the Prophets and the Messengers were sent by God above,
To teach us how to live and how to love.
Though each had a special Message, yet in essence They agree,
They all taught the path to peace and unity. (Chorus)

Now mankind was designed in many colors, many hues,
Many sizes, many natures, many views.
But no matter the diversity, we surely must agree,
There is beauty in the differences we see. (Chorus)

GOD'S GARDEN

by Robert Kogan and Mary Sullivan

The flowers in God's garden
Are many different hues,
From shades of white to brightest red,
With yellows, greens, and blues.

How sadly uninspiring
If each one looked the same,
And every flower planted
Had to share a common name.

Each flower bears a fragrance
That stands alone as sweet,
But blends to make the garden
Aromatically complete.

The people in God's garden
Have many facets too.
Fat or thin or rich or poor,
Islamic, Christian, Jew.

So why not take a lesson
From the Gardener's own hand
And learn to live in harmony
So all can understand ...

God's love is not a secret
It's etched upon each face.
The people garden is but one
The budding human race.

GRAND RELIGION

by V. V. Raman

Some say it was Krishna
Who came to save and please us.
Some think it was Buddha,
Yet others that it was Jesus.

To some, the Laws of Conduct,
To Moses God had said.
Some believe that God had spoken
Only to Prophet Mohammed.

Like the frog which was certain
That its pond was all the sea,
Every one is slightly right
As far as he does see.

Our sun is surely brilliant:
None can this deny.
But does it make much sense to say
There's naught else in the sky?

If religious frogs just jump out
Into the big, big sea,
They'll know there's much more
To religious ecstasy!

Religions are volcanoes:
Powerful sure they are.
But they come from a much deeper Source
That's grander, oh by far.

AN ANSWERED PRAYER

by Patricia Campuzano

Whatever name You have now
Hear me. I have lost my faith.
Don't let me become cynical.
Please relate again my deeds
To the outcome of my fate.
That I may receive instruction
As then, from bird and rain.

Like items on a menu I chose
Religions, but mantra or litany
My plea is the same: Teach me
To see beyond the visible.
Reveal the eternal purpose
Behind this constant change.
I want to wake up smiling.

My worries have grown up
Please update the catechism
And shout Your answers
Whispers are no longer enough.
Restore simplicity. Prescribe
An antidote against absurdity.
Send anything that looks like hope.
