Who we are
Origin of World Religion Day
The following has been gleaned from "BAHA'I NEWS", published in December 1949 by the National Spiritual Assembly, the governing Body of the Baha'i Faith in the United States of America.
Currently World Religion Day is held on Third Sunday in January each year in several hundred locations around the globe.
A Message from all of us
The purpose of this website is to promote understanding and dialogue between the followers of all religions, to call attention to the common foundation of their spiritual principles, and to emphasize that "Religion must be the cause of unity."
All humanity must, without any further hesitation, unite as members of one family.
This current website is NOT a part of any Baha'i administrative body. All the work of this website is done by volunteers from many a faith.
Please check with us after January 17, 2010 as we plan many changes to our services.
We thank you all for supporting this activity, which has been the result of personal initiative of many. Many of you have been with us for several decades now and have become what we always wanted - brothers and sisters of one human family.
The Aim of this website
The aim of our website is to foster the establishment of interfaith understanding and harmony by emphasizing the common denominators underlying all religions. Mankind, which has stemmed from one origin, must now strive towards the reconciliation of that which has been split up. Human unity and true equality depend not on past origins, but on future goals, on what we are becoming and whither we are going. The prime cause of age-old conflict between man and man has been the absence of one ethical belief, a single spiritual standard – one moral code.
